The next important theater skill is concentration.  I bring to class a number of interesting objects, passing them around the class one at a time.  I ask each person to say something different about the object, telling them to concentrate on the object, not on anything going on around them.  At this point, I tell them Dr. Art's guaranteed, never fail preventative for stage fright: concentrate fully on what's happening on stage and ignore the audience completely.
